We have been learning about using questions to help with our learning when reading.
Nell made a great connection about making bookmarks like what we have in the library. So we chose questions we could ask when reading texts and made bookmarks with these on them so we can use them at school and home.
For break through learning Thomas' group is learning about tigers and sharks. They decided to display their learning by creating a diorama of the animals in their habitats. They watched a video to build their knowledge about what a diorama is and what materials are needed.
Thomas went home and applied his understanding by creating his own diorama. Great connecting Thomas!
It is our last week of basketball with our coaches from Kiwi Sport. Today we got to play full games against each other, using all the skills we had learned the previous weeks. A lot of the hub enjoyed trying to shoot goals, while marking other players in the opposition. Our coaches reminded us about playing basketball in one of the clubs around Stonefields School. Thank you to the coaches for teaching us the last four weeks, we have really enjoyed learning!
Today we are using our iPads to take photos of our learning. Taking a photo means that we have evidence of what we have achieved. This group of learners are working on addition and subtraction facts to 20.
